  • 1 3/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Harris & Ruddock Turmeric Almond Milk
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup aquafaba (the liquid in a can of chickpeas)
  • 3 tbsp organic cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

    1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flours, cornstarch, sea salt, baking powder and cane sugar. Set aside.
    2. In a medium bowl, combine Turmeric Almond Milk and melted vegan butter. Set aside.
    3. In a small mixing bowl, vigorously whisk aquafaba.
    4. Add wet ingredients (excluding aquafaba) to the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. Then, fold in whipped aquafaba using a mixing spoon until well combined.
    5. Allow the batter to rest for about five minutes while the waffle iron preheats.
    6. Pour approximately one cup of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and close. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until waffles turn golden brown and crispy.
    7. Transfer cooked waffles to a baking sheet and keep warm in a 200°F oven while you cook the remaining waffles. This recipe yields about 3 1/2 large waffles.
    8. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
